Australian Ecology Solutions (AES) is a new firm, dedicated to providing strategic advice to good clients with good projects.


AES was founded in 2024 by Dr Alex Pursche, a career ecologist with over 15 years industry experience. Alex is an Accredited assessor under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. Alex’s experience spans Australia, and he has consulted for private firms as well as Government clients, at the NSW and Commonwealth level.  Alex’s experience includes development assessments, conservation (stewardship) applications and assessment, and policy science at a local and regional level.


A key strength of AES is the ability to navigate the complexity of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.


AES has a safety, ethical, and quality focus.  This ensures our work is completed safely and consistent with your company's expectations.


AES is based in Newcastle, NSW, but has capacity to services projects across NSW.  AES has extensive experience in the Hunter Valley, Central West, and New England Tablelands regions of NSW.
